163.2

A Crow, half-dead with thirst, came upon a Pitcher which had once been full of water; but when the Crow put its beak into the mouth of the Pitcher he found that only very little water was left in it, and that he could not reach far enough down to get at it. He tried, and he tried, but at last had to give up in despair. Then a thought came to him, and he took a pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher.
Then he took another pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher.

Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher.

Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher.

Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher.

Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher.

At last, at last, he saw the water mount up near him, and after casting in a few more pebbles he was able to quench his thirst and save his life.

Little by little does the trick.

Day 1...

Of cours this day isn't difficult. It's only 10am. I've had my Acai Berry supplement, and I'm now sipping some green tea. I've spent the weekend preparing for this, and I've done lots of reading on the whole detoxification process. Simply put, I'm a little grossed out. Let me give a small outline.

Our digestive tract starte at our mouth, goes through our body, and ends at our poop hole. (Remember I'm a Mommy, so I have a certain dialect when addressing certain things that I will not divert from) When we eat, our saliva is supposed to break down our food to enhance the whole chewing experience. Well most of us dont completely chew up our food as we should resulting in chunks going down and clogging the digestive track. This brings about the gas, indigestion, and things like that. The food is then carried along and broken down into bits and pieces by the kidney, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, so that it can be carried  throughout our blood stream to each feed the cells in our body. Once they eat, the waste is then eliminated back into our colon, and then travels out of our body through poop. Well, our bodies are designed to handle natural products (fruits, vegetables, meats), but not man made products. So, when your food is processed and changed into all the great tasting things that we so enjoy, it's being turned into something our bodies just cannot handle. The cleansing cells get overwhelmed, which ends up leaving a lot of the toxins in your body. These toxins dont just come from over processing of food though. There's the yucky air, makeup, cleaning products, residue left from medicines we take... pretty much anything foreign to the body can be considered as having some type of toxin. Nows the gross part... When our body doesn't rid this waste, it just sits. And it gets old. Liken it to old garbage in our home. If we didn't take out the garbage, after a few days, an odor comes, and then what? Maggots grow on old meat. Well our bodies are the same way. When the waste isn't expelled, we can beging to not only put on bad weight, but we develop body odor, and parasites begin to grow in the body. .

So yeah... in a nutshell, I'm happy to detox. I want all this gunk out of my body. And I want it out ASAP. But this is day one. I feel good so far. Again, this is day one. I want this to be the jump start to my healthier living. For the most part, I do pretty well. Working out is therapeutic for me, so I enjoy that. With my mother being clinically obese, I've always paid special attention to my weight (sometimes healthy, and sometimes not, but I've vowed not to develop another eating disorder). I eat pretty well as I hate to be constipated, or to have bubble guts. It's so embarassing. Lastly, I want to be around for my children and my husband. There's nothing I love more than them. My husband lost both of his parents at a young age, and I know that as a result, he has been through quite a few things. I dont want to do that to them. I plan to be here for a VERY long time, and no parasite or clogged up poop is going to take me out!

I'm over the short cuts to weight loss. I know that it will take some time to be completely healthy, but hey, I gotta do what I gotta do. If time is all it's going to take, then I plan on having plenty of it. I know that it wont be easy... hell nothing in life thats worth having ever is. I've been here before. I've taken my time with tons of things, and thus I'm successful, in a great marriage, I'm a fun loving Mommy, a terrific friend, and the list goes on and on.. I'll be glad to add this little pebble into my pitcher of accomplishments. If anything, I want to wear a cute dress while in Vegas for my 28th birthday!

This morning, I weighed in at 163.2... Day 1
