HAPPY!

Today is great.

For so many reasons.

First, after a series of us pulling together a normal routine "Lucy and Ethel" scheme, my BFF is home! She's back on American soil! And I couldn't be happier! The shoes over there were just tooo much for her to handle, so she's way better off being here. She's also going to be having my baby soon, so I'm really hyped to have the chance to see her soon, and not have to wait until she's damn near grown to introduce myself. This makes me so uncontrollably happy! Our long distance relationship is one that's tough as it is, so having an 8 hour time difference didn't help the cause... but nonetheless, she's HERE!!!!! And she's SAFE!!!! And she's 39 weeks pregnant! (Save your judgements pertaining to her flying at such a late stage in her pregnancy as the circumstances presented, she did JUST what she had to do for her family, and I'm proud of that!)

Today is my husbands birthday. And all I could do was smile the entire way into work. And I thanked his parents (God rest their souls) for creating such a terrific man for me. And I thanked God for allowing him another healthy year to be a part of my life. He makes me smile. Like none other. Even when he makes me angry, it's never enough to where I don't want to or cant be with him any longer. I'm SURE he was created JUST for me and no other reason. So... a special happy birthday for my love. :)

THEEEEENNNNN... Saturday, I celebrate my 28th birthday... wow... 28... *shivers*

Well, instead of gifts this year, my husband and I are headed to Vegas! Yes, we were JUST there in April, but hell, we had an offer we couldn't turn down, so we're headed out for a long weekend with our cousins. We leave Saturday, get back on Tuesday, and I CAN NOT WAIT! It's so important that we get away and take these short breaks for our sake of mind and sanity.

So, yes, today is a day of joy. It may all seem selfish, but I just don't care. I'm HAPPY. I'm smiling. Swollen sore throat and all! I'm still smiling!
